Description:-
Glenesk, lying at the foot of the Grampian mountain range, is the most easterly of the Angus Glens. It is bounded by Glen Lethnot to the west and Aberdeenshire to the north.

Glenesk, some 15 miles long, can be found off the B966, Edzell/Fettercairn road off the A90. There is no through road, but possibly this has helped to protect its unspoilt character.

It is a traditional glen, divided into three privately owned estates whose main interests are sporting - grouse and pheasant shooting and deer stalking. Consequently game-keeping employs more permanent and seasonal staff than any other business. Farming, water treatment and tourism are the other areas of employment in the Glen.

Description:-
This route starts at the foot of Glenesk and finishes in Glen Lethnot. When I have done it in the past we have left from Brechin and returned to Brechin to complete. This is only because I live there. I would probably recommend parking in Edzell where there are facilities and a pub. Cycle out towards the Gannochy Bridge and then start the route. On returning get to the bottom of Glen Lethnot and them turn lesft back towards Edzell. I have allowed 4 hours but this includes the Brechin bit.

This is a natural / landrover track route.

Point 1 is Dalbog Farm.
Point 2 is the old TA Huts (not sure if they are still used)
Points 3 & 4. Route goes a bit vague here.
Point 5 Climb
Point 6 & 7Downhill
Point 8 - 9 Trail a bit vague.

Description:-
Park at Tarfside car park. Turn right alongside the church. Don't cross the bridge. Follow the tar road and after about 500m turn right along the Landrover track following the river. Head towards the Baillies.

Difficult climbs at points 1 and 2.

Climb to summit after point 3 and good downhill section.

Turn right at point 4 for a great fast downhill section. Watch out for drainage tracks.

Watch out for closed gate at point 5. I usually have pumped forearms here and struggle to stop.

Turn left at point 6 onto tar road and them immediately right at point 7 onto track towards monument.

Last bit of downhill from point 8.

Description:-
Starting at the Gannochy bridge its an easy ride down the narrow twisty path with a few tree roots and steep banking to navigate.
Crossing the wobbly bridge after about 1.5 miles to return on the north side. After a short river crossing. (about 1/2" water) a steep push up the bank and back along the north side to the bridge.
Not a fast route but a nice cycle through the forest along the riverbank.

Description:-
Cycle along north Bank of Loch Lee. Arriving at waterfall. Try not to fall in the water because you get wet feet!
Cycle back along north side of loch and travel along the road through Tarfside and turn off at sign for Rocks Of Solitude and cycle along the Blue door walk. (not for MTB's) but stay on the high path and theres plenty room without annoying walkers.
