Description:-
This cycle is a very popular walking route which takes in the sights of the old man of storr.
This route is not a 'trail' but can be enjoyed on a bike as a way to take in the views from this part of Skye. The first part of this route can be cycled however the gradient is very challenging but most of the ascent after this is hike a bike type terrain.
Be careful as you start your decent as on your left hand side there can be some vertical drops so stay well clear of the edge and ensure that visibility is good before setting out on the route.
The decent between parts 1 & 2 is not rideable and the bike will need to be carried down the mountain, to be able to do this you should be very fit and sure footed. After this a lot of the route is rideable but can be technical in places.
Down the bottom there is a lot of boggy ground but much better covered on a bike than getting soaked walking through it.
