Description:-
This route is fairly straight forward, good condition Forestry Commission type tracks all the way around.
Starts at the sheep pens, follow the road for 100m until the track joins it on the right, take the track and follow it down the first Ford. easily done at low water levels, you may get wet feet at higher levels following rain, there are some stones but they can be a tad slippy.
The climb to the top starts here, fairly continuous all the way up, nothing terribly difficult or taxing but it will get your sweat on.
Once at the top take a moment to enjoy the stunning view and start the return leg.
The Return leg is all downhill on good condition track, depending on how brave you’re feeling it can be a very very fast run, watch out for wildlife and some of the puddles are deeper than they look.
