Description:-
A 520 foot climb up Bowsey Hill; the highest hill in Windsor and Maidenhead. Then downhill towards Aston. Walk your bike over the weir at Hambeden Lock. Follow Marlow road east past Henley Management college and take the first public footpath back towards the river. There are many narrow plank footbridges in this SSSI area and you will have to carefully walk your bike through them on the rear tyre. But it is a uniquely secluded natural trail that takes you all the way into Henley on the Oxford side. Henley has starbucks, bike shop, etc etc. The return leg loops back round on the Berkshire side of the river. Again making use of the most hidden/obscure rights of way. Watch out for dog walkers, farm animals, horses etc Please go slowly especially at weekends. Ideal for gopro film making in the spring. I look forward to hearing anyone doing this. I did it for the first time today; very special
