Description:-
A classic route from the "Beyond Hamsterley" book. Taxing uphills, mainly on tarmac or unsurfaced road, more than made up for with superb singletrack downhills across the moors. The long descent back to Edmundbyers is superb.

Easy to follow. Long steady climb but not overly steep. Fun descent! The teashop is indeed excellent, as was the pub in Edmonbyers |

Edmondbyers Skyline

Description:-
A southern loop out of Edmondbyers taking in parts of the Waskerley Way and sharing the same final downhill section as the Blanchland loop. Tough going in places especially when wet. As for Blanchland loop most climbing is on tarmac or unsurfaced tracks. Great views across to the Cheviots and Weardale from the moors. The downhill section on sketchy, sandy, singletrack off Bolt's Law is at least as good as the downhill section into Edmondbyers on the Blanchland loop. Take some cash. The reward for the first uphill slog to and along the Waskerley Way to Parkhead Station is the excellent teashop/B&B at this point. (Tag1) It's on the (C2C route).

A great loop with some stunning singletrack across the moors and one particularly horrible road climb from Baybridge.
