At the roundabout just north of Crowthorne town centre there is a small paved lane that leads into the wood. The lane is quite bumpy and at the end is a small car park, which can be quite wet/muddy at times. It is free to park.

Description:-
Swinley forest is spilt into several sections under different ownership. The section on the far west is under ownership of the forestry commission. This is a commercial plantation but access is free for all including MTBer therefore there is no need to buy a permit.
The car park describe above is probably the best access point for this area although there are several other small laybys to park in.
The ground here is very sandy as which the rest of Swinley forest which provides good drainage all year long, but can turn into a fine paste in the wet which is not good for drive chains and disc brake pads.
The trails are somewhat tamer than the rest of Swinley but are classic XC trails and are often used for races by the local Gorrick club. Highlights include the Corkscrew which can by located using open street map.
