Did the whole red route but adding on bits of the blue to give a total distance of around 18miles in a slowish 3hr45mins (car to car, parked in the bottom carpark). Every named trail has a different character. Spooky Woods (ouch on that climb) is good, but personally I preferred the more 'natural' feeling stuff e.g. Super G. Overall a good day out, and don't dismiss the blues. |

Excellent venue, great facilities and a down that is totally worth the up. Loved it almost as much as Golspie! |

Nice mix of trail and the climbs are enjoyable - not all fireroad. Good fun and a good leg stretcher. |

Outstanding route. A good stiff climb in stunning scenery broken up with a few techy features leading to a brilliant descent with plenty options. |

The description from the 7 Stanes website sums it up really - from the paved jumps and berms on the Spooky Wood descent to the more natural-feeling sections like the rooty Mushroom Pie. Can get quite busy though. |
