Did this in July 2013 and the trail up was loose gravel/rock and not that cycle-able once you started ascending the Trail. Once at the top you could cycle between the two Munros quite easily. But the path down (I had done this route a few years ago) has been converted for walkers so there is now a boulder ditch or boulder step every so many metres which makes it practically un-cyclable. So you will probably end up pushing your bike several miles down hill. Used to be better but now ruined because of this |

This is a fantastic day out in a real mountain environment. As an alternative, at tag 4 turn right and continue along the track towards the summit cairn of Mullach Clach a Bhlair and bag yourself a munro on your bike. The dullest munro ever admittedly, but still, you did it on your bike, got to count for something. Return to tag 4 and follow the route to tag 6, before turning north over the summit of Carn Ban Mor to Sgor Gaoith. Munro number 2 of the day on your bike, and the views from this one looking east down to Loch Eanaich are stunning. Return to tag 4 and you've still got the CBM downhill to look forward to ! |

A classic ride! This is one of those rides where you feel like you get a great return on your climbing investment. But definitely one for a nice sunny day! |

Doing this ride on a day with sun, clouds, rain, hail, snow, hail, rain, clouds and sun, in that order, was very good. I can only imagine how spectacular it would have been in blue sky and sunshine. Epic! |
