| Did this loop in July 2013. The first section is all road till the dams then turns in to a land rover track till you reach the old cement store bothy with at least 15 chairs in it!!!! This then turns in to a single track through the heather and can be boggy in places. Watch for the snakes as we came across an Adder on this section. I ranked as 3 stars as the single track through the heather turned in to a bit of a chore as it went on for miles plus it was roasting when we did it. |

| I sort of did this route - I didn't turn left onto the single track. I kept going on the landrover track up over the hill and down to Erchless Castle. The descent on the other side is a lot of fun, but there was a heck of a road trek back to my house. Total trip circuit of 32 miles. I think next time I'll try it your way! |
