A 5 star route and next time I do it I will just do the Slig and back route. |

Did the Sligachan section as an out & back from the pub, which avoided the road & bog. Great ride! |

Scenery is stunning on a good day! Personally didn't think much of the riding was worth the effort having done the full route. Nothing fun about section starting at luib. Don't waste your time or energy doing it |

If visiting Skye with non-riding company, the 16km road ride and 6km bogfest through Strath Mor can be omitted if you can get dropped off at Torrin or Kilmarie and picked up at Sligachan. |

The descent to Camasunary more than makes up for the climb over Am Mam and the 12km through Glen Sligachan provides great singletrack and even better scenery. The road ride isn't bad, but the boggy "path" through Strath Mor is a tad demoralising. |

3 of us rode this - 1 loved it 1 hated it an 1 was in the middle. First point - its tough on bikes. I broke a chain and a front mech so carry extra spares. 2nd - its a long drive with a lot to live up to so can be dissapointing. Very stunning scenery but I found the path rocky and frustrating. By all means ride it and tie it in with a ride round the Quirang and the Old Man of Storr which IMO are much better. I can also recommend Island cycles in Portree for spares/fixes and information. |

One of my favourite natural routes, especially if you score with the weather, as the scenery is amazing. |
