| After 7 weeks way from riding I decided to do this route, it was a hard climb to the top and I was thankful for the fire road, the section from tag 3 was good and I got a good bit of speed up here, going down the rocky steps from the base of Clachnaben rocky out crop caused me to get a puncture due to the size of the drainage ditches, quickly changed this and push on as the weather was starting to turn. Heading into the forest section was good but lost it a little as the track narrowed and ended up in the ticket after hitting a log that is used to prevent the track from eroding. Made it back to the car park before the rain caught up with me and I was very happy with my efforts for the day. got some nice pictures as the weather was clear and sunny for the most part. |

| This is a great ride. I love the technical descent, and the challenge of not letting the drainage ditches have their way with your wheels. Well worth the slightly boring fireroad ascent. |
